"HAVE worked in social services" I expect you are going to see more and more companies drop medical plans. It may only come back if competition for employees make the difference in hiring.

the company i worked for , one of the largest in the world, move jobs to canada. why, cheaper labor and gov health program . i suspect. ie not only were salaries half what they were in the states but i expect substantial savings in employee labor burden too.

i found it interesting to single out wmt. they do have competition. dollar general, or many other nicknamed outfits. target. no idea of their hiring program.
