Re: All PC's need disk drives

I think WDC looks pretty cheap at $21; no debt either.

<< do you know of any problems in the enterprise arena? >>

<<<It depends on what you classify as a problem. It is a growth area like most of the networking sector but prices are coming down very fast in the low end. COMS has a ways to go before making the transition to higher margin products. In the higher end COMS will bump heads directly with C$CO... and they will lose...>>>

All - you may want to do some research here on what COMS margins are on their enterprise products, also you may want to research what products are in the pipeline, their margins, and if COMS holds a sustainable competitive advantage against their competitors.

I give Craig credit for sticking to his guns. However, I am curious on three things: 1) what he thinks was COMS tactical error he mentioned in several posts back; 2)how CSCO is kicking COMS now that it is down, and 3)Are there any other stocks that he hates as much as COMS (and will relish in their demise) .

High techs are volatile, esp. COMS. Back in Jan. it was in vogue to bash CSCO because they were losing their grip on the internet, were late to market with their GSR, etc., etc. Pundits were stating that CSCO may be surpassed by companies such as ASND and XYLN. Nine months later that thought is a joke.

I see the same thing going on with COMS bashing right now. However, for those that understand the technology they can see that COMS is very well positioned to continue to gain market share in high growth, high margin areas.

PS - COMS has its fair share of high end business in the enterprise currently, and is winning new deals against the competition.

csco will win their share, coms will win their share. csco does not play well with integrators. csco only goes after large companies. there is a ton of $$ in small - mid size companies. coms does lose to csco in large rfp's - but not every time.
this sector is growing exponentially.
