Before the game I might have agreed with you (regarding the offense), but last night was a "stinker." Something they are quite good at producing when it counts the most. I felt sorry for Brad J. What in the world were the coaches thinking of...why didn't they put Randall C. in at least in the earlier stages of the third quarter? Brad couldn't scramble, he couldn't set up or step into his throws, he couldn't even hang onto the football. I don't blame him..he was trying, but he was also hurting. I am also amazed at the idiotic call late third (maybe early fourth quarter) when we elected to kick a field goal (and subsequently miss) on 4th and 5 on the Packers 30 - 35 yard line. Didn't our coaches know we only scored one field goal through over half the game, time was running down and the likelihood of us getting to that spot on the field 2 or 3 more times was almost impossible? The Packers did not play all that well themsleves..good enough to win...but Favre slid into his old ways several times..unfortunately our inept defense was not able to take advantage of it. Next year the Vikes need: 1 Very dominant defensive lineman, a real middle linebacker, a real tight end and a real offensive coordinator. Thanks for listening to me "cry"...I know I should be use to the infamous Minnesota Swan Song... T.R. P.S. I haven't TOTALLY written them off this year...but at this time it doesn't look good...they may be lucky to win another game (S.F., Lions and is it the Bucs...not pretty).
