Obviously this issue of bayonets has you pretty worked up. Do you think this is an impeachable offense? Why not work on it from that angle? The point of that exchange is Romney picked a piss-poor metric. Or he doesn't really understand how our military works. Maybe both. In 1916, our ships were at best on par with those in many other countries. Now, there is no comparison. When the Soviet Union was at its peak, they couldn't come close to what we had. And ours have been tremendously improved since those days. Likewise with our jets. Sure, some of the airframes are getting on in age, but everything else has been improved substantially.
