Did you ever tell a potential home buyer he just couldn't afford the house he wanted to buy? Were there mortgage brokers or lenders you refused to refer people to?

Excellent question to koan! He and others keep wanting to land the whole financial disaster at the hands of the banks. Certainly the real estate agents had some culpability in encouraging potential home buyers to buy bigger, get an arm or pushing them towards "easy lenders".

Absolutely. I am an honest guy and if I don't like anything about a deal, I tell my client including bank fees or other situations, a house or deal, and I walk away from it. I refuse to sell certain properties all the time. Bad condo associations, avalanche areas, etc.

As a consequece I have large number of clients that stick with me because I am good at what I do, and am honest.
