hank and thread, now he sold naked puts not naked calls.
anyway..if he would have sold naked call via a spread I talked about he would be up now instead of down..
but, since his position magically turned to naked puts....
then way to go hank<gggg>
ps. I'm not stupid like very few on this thread.
i know a typo when i see it. You just meant naked calls....

Hank, your honest assessment of your trading and your honesty is much appreciated. Thank you. I know lots of folks will say ha ha but you are the best of the bunch because you do not get emotional.!!! And you help the rest of us with your assessments. So we can decide better what is going on with the markets. Do you think this Santa Claus rally has any staying power and do you think it will last until January? I am currently in the market but am pretty wary of staying too long. Are you familiar with Lowry's reports? They measure market buying and selling pressure and are seeing deterioration under the surface -- they are on a short term buy but are seeing some breakdown overall. Say we may be entering last phase of the bull. Your thoughts? How does this market feel to you? Some real buying in tech stocks has to be a good sign short term, but for how long? I would really appreciate your opinion. Again, congrats on your good short on DELL and thanks again for your honesty. I don't plan to get back into Dell. As good as it was to me (4X on my earliest buy), I'm looking for other opportunities. As much as everyone said Michael Dell dispelled all the concerns with his post-earnings talk, I didn't see it that way. I heard no talk from him about his stock being undervalued as he said before. I also heard him say he has opportunites to gain share. I agree, but I didn't hear him say margins would continue to go up, just that they had gone up in this Q. Actually, there were several cautionary comments made during the earnings conf call. Again, I really appreciate your honesty. Bravado doesn't really help anyone your honesty does. You're terrific. I also am very impressed at your willingness to move fast as conditions change and cover your short. Today seemed like a good rally, didn't it? But it you look closely, OTC was only 22:19 adv to decline...not sure if the smart money is moving in or moving out! Take care.

Hank, are you still holding your drillers? Many now off 1/3 from highs. Should a stock be sold if it drops below its 200day ma? Since I bought high, would be a real loss. Inclined to hold, but sure has not been any floor under these stocks. If more cheap oil comes from the middle east and demand slows in Asia, why drill? Wish I understood realities of supply/demand in oil better. Feel like a mouse being buffeted by a cat, since I don't really know what's going on. As one guy said, news follows price. So maybe more bad news is coming? Sure a bloodbath for mere profit taking. Thanks for any thoughts.
