The premium of the MiniPad over the Nexus 7 is marginal at best. The Nexus is much higher on the Andoird food chain than the Kindle Fire, I'm sorry to say. No; $329 a ridiculous price.

64GB iPad mini with LTE

I'm with you on the pimped out Civic analogy. Few people pimp out their Civics.

You're just not getting it. The iPhone 5 can sell for what it does because it is carrier subsidized.

A 7 inch tablet can not sell for $329.

In the end though, I suppose this boils down to a strong difference of opinion over how much people are willing to pay for a large phablet that you can't make phone calls with, and as such isn't subdizied under contract.

That is how people view 7" devices.

I completely and absolutely disagree with your assessment of that people will go for this $329 price.

Its a non-starter in the category, to which Apple is a newcomer to a competitive field.

You're screaming into the wind ... Zax has always been about single-dimensional, subjective analysis and blanket statements. ALWAYS.

I thrive on objective information and hearing reasoned arguments from both sides of any issue when I seek it out for formulating my positions. A person's worth in this area is generally created over a long period of time much like any professional analyst or trusted information source. Some earn very high marks, others mediocre and others deem themselves nearly worthless in the end.

I've found the single biggest variable in success to be objectivity. If you don't have it, then your reasoning is flawed from the beginning. If you don't have it and use blanket statements, you're on the fast track to nowhere. Zax is no longer on the fast track, he's arrived and moved in.

It's unfortunate but it is what it is. The more reasoned objective analysis we can have on any subject, the better we all are.
