the money shortfall from the SS payroll tax cut was made up by diverting money from general funds... it was a temporary tax cut for middle the class, but it won't be renewed next year... i don't see it as a huge biggie since the shortfall was covered with other funds... of course the Dems would have preferred to see the shortfall made up through letting the Bush tax cuts on the wealthy expire, as they were supposed to, but of course the party of hell no wouldn't even consider it
