Trading requires a lot of trial and error and trial and success. Sometimes you buy the dips and have to pack it in, sometimes you buy the dips and they work out nicely.

Still a fair number of stocks like Apple that are extended on the charts evidenced by the fact the stock is down 18 points today. Unfortunately, an 18 point pullback on Apple does very little to create any significant appeal for the stock. At the minimum, it could go back and close the gap around $570 from last earnings report. On the bright side, people buying into the dip at this point have the benefit of Apple's best quarter coming up.
