That was a very interesting phone call. Considering how the NY Times wrote an entire article about how POTUS is the man who is deciding who lives or dies by drone, it is hard to imagine they would have kept him out of the loop on this. He has surrounded himself with some very incompetent and politically oriented people. I could imagine Valerie Jarrett getting the information and saying he doesn't need to know...

US Troops Would Not Have Been Painting Targets on Ground Unless There Was Air Support Overhead US Troops Would Not Have Been Painting Targets on Ground Unless There Was Air Support Overhead

The thing that strikes me most about the unravelling of Obama's Benghazi situation is the profound stupidity of the "most intelligent administration in history." They seem to have forgotten that Al Gore invented the internet. And on the 'net resides a huge number of experts who can see through every lie, every feigned attempt to claim ignorance and every twist of the truth. This administration and the mainstream press all think they can pull one over on the greatest pool of intelligence on Earth.

I thank all those who are in or have previously served in the military and intelligence communities for standing up to the elitist punks in the White House and their dreadful appointees. Experto crede.

Re: Painting targets on the ground

I really should not be reading these reports. It is not good for my blood pressure at all.

I cannot express how disgusted I am with this administration.

So there were two drones in the air recording the attack on the ground. And now we know the CIA team at the annex was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. The White House was able to watch the attack live back in Washington DC. Yet, yesterday Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said this,

The U.S. military did not get involved during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month because officials did not have enough information about what was going on before the attack was over.”

WHAT? Panetta has been peddling a lot of junior whoppers lately. That whopper is full-size.

How dare Panetta classify the US military who were involved in fighting that battle as not involved?

How are our SEALS and other in extremis forces going to assess future risk knowing that when the going gets tough the SECDEF will cast their lives and their efforts aside. All the while even denying they were US Military Members.

Are we going to learn next that the drones were armed? Was that the reason for painting the targets?
All this story needs is a cock crowing to make it biblical.
