Recall when Bush mailed checks to households and told them to go out and shop so as to boost the economy. I didn't hear a word from folks then. Recall when Bush wrote the 22 billion dollar cheque to the auto industry before leaving office. I didn't hear a word against that then. Recall when Bush went to war "on credit". Not a single word for borrowing money to fight wars. The fact of the matter is that when we print money as Bush did and Obama is doing, it is the Arabs who benefit by jacking up the price for oil. And with it the prices for food go up. The only way we can beat this is to invest in alternative energy sources. In that area we are getting badly beaten by the Chinese who are way ahead in solar technology e.g. Solyndra and a few others that went down under. TO battle this, Obama is stressing Advanced Manufacturing which can be sustained through a workforce that is steeped in education and other advanced skills we need. Otherwise let us politicize everything. kill ourselves and let the world standby and watch history repeat where every country rides high for a while and then collapses. I do not want a President who counts the number of ships in the armada to gauge the strength. Instead I want a President who gauges the strength from the individual capabilities of the ships we have. IT is the "what" we have versus the "how many". That is the fundamental difference that we saw during the third debate between these folks. And by the way, if you let me kn ow your grocery store, I see and opportunity for me to but food from my store and come and sell them at your store. Heck, why that. Let me tell you, go and buy from Costco and sell it to your grocery store manager. I bought eggs yesterday from Costco at 10c each.
