Aristotle's writings were largely lost, and his school dissipated, within a couple hundred years of his death...unfortunately Greece did not build on Aristotles discoveries, and even the Romans did not really absorb these ideas and carry them further...Plato has had the larger influence, in general, and his otherworldly approach led to the dark ages in Europe...
