I just discovered the other day that millions of medicaid children will now be entitled to dental care under it. I was never told that by anybody. I can accept the needs of the children, but why is it hidden from the payers? I don't know who it has been hidden from, but Meidcaid has covered children's dental care for years. In 2006, 73% of children age 2-17 with Medicaid had a dental visit that year. I don't know if the ACA changes that, or gives them MORE coverage, but children on Medicaid have had dental coverage for a long time. Used to bother me to see kids running around with free braces while I was paying a fortune for my kids metal mouths.
