AusWinPhone are reporting that online retailer Mobicity is offering the HTC 8X for a very palatable $649 Australian.

The handset is unlocked and supports Optus 2G, Vodafone 2G, Telstra 2G, Optus 3G 900, Optus 3G 2100, Vodafone 3G 900, Vodafone 3G 2100, Telstra/Voda NextG 3G 850. Unfortunately the handset does not support any 4G networks in Australia.

The device is available in Atlantic Blue or Graphite Black only.

The price compares well with the Samsung ATIV S, also available at Harvey Norman where it is on sale for $799.

Mobicity is also offering the HTC 8S for $399. Both handsets are in stock and available to ship for arrival after Windows Phone day tomorrow
