I cant explain it and neither can ECRI. In the past I've found their indicator leads the economy and maybe even the market. Not in this case

Yes, I think the ECRI are a credible voice.

John Hussman is another who does statistical analysis on leading indicators and thinks we are already in a recession.

But, they don't have a crystal ball. The leading relationships aren't perfect. They just deal in probabilities.
They are a tile in the mosaic we build.

We've been in a recession since 2008 and remain so today.

Who'd guess it... if the markets were about to enter a bull run...?
