Indeed. This may make it pretty difficult to cover things up successfully. Willing to fall on ones' sword is old fashioned, especially among the political circles. There will be talk.

All of this pile of shit on one side of the scale, and yet no action was taken, something bigger overruled. So there must be an even bigger pile of shit on the other side of that scale. I think being caught in a transparent coverup of apparent incompetence and shuffling off the presidential stage with an "Aw shucks" is the best they can hope for.

It's kind of like discovering planets in other solar systems. We can't see them but we can detect them through the perturbations of the orbits of stars that we can see.

We don't know the whole truth about the Benghazi attack and US reaction, but we know that there is something bad by the behavior we are seeing in the aftermath.

I think that, once again, you make a very good point.
