Good point about the banks lending the fingerprint reader to the customer. I think that might start with large commercial customers, and work down to smaller commercial customers in time. However, I don't see the bank lending me a fingerprint reader anytime soon. Think they might sell me one at a great discount and furnish free software while registering my finger print. The reader could then be used for other security transactions such as automated securities trading.

Making up a $100 on my bank transactions would be a little difficult considering the large majority are electronic now, with very little left on paper checks. In fact, they don't even send me the cancelled checks unless I request one, and then I get a picture copy. Oops, almost forgot, no charge for the account due to age and minimum deeposit maintained that they pay me some interest on. On of the advantages of being over 50.
