Seems clear to me that "Survivor" has gotten lots easier over the years. Remember the first episodes where they were eating rats? To eat, they had to win RICE for the Reward Challenges, and fire wasn't given away until about the 3rd or 4th week. Not to mention shelters -- either they get some good survival training now, or someone makes the woven and well-braced lean-tos they sleep in. Hard even so? Sure. But it's like any good series on network TV, starts out with a good hook, then turns into a soap opera. More about who likes who than anything about survival.
