In 8 years of Republican Bush, he had a NET LOSS of 1.790 million jobs (+2,716,000 1st term, -4,506,000 2nd term, for a net loss of -1.790 million), while doubling the deficit to $13 trillion dollars. Republicans Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr, are all on record for 20 years saying "deficits don't matter". Republicans should NEVER be trusted with the economy as they have proven they are nothing but whores of deregulation, greedy Wall Street, big oil and the defense/gun lobby Obama in 4 years and taking an IMPLODED economy that was losing 900,000 jobs a month in Jan 2009, has created 5 million jobs, and turned an IMPLOSION of MINUS 18.2% GDP into 13 straight quarter of positive GDP. That's what makes him a national hero. Republican Bush Tax cuts for the rich DID NOT WORK. Trickle down economics DO NOT WORK. Going back to tax cuts for the rich, deregulation, defense spending and wars, DOES NOT WORK!!!!!! OBAMA is a national hero and he will get 4 more years.
