When Bretton Woods was terminated we did not have many imbalances and finished the best period for middle class prosperity in this country's history..

You would think the end game probably a long way off is the policies post WW2. Obviously we need that FDR moment first... For now I am glad to live in a post RE bust area than a very expensive market like Toronto, SF or NYC. Was watching HGTV the other day and saw a family looking at modest homes in solid middle class hoods of Toronto for $700-800k... (Who will buy that home at that price when/if rates go back to just 7-8%?). Crazy world when most of the USA you can pick them up for one tenth that cost even after all the money printing and low interest rates.
