There is something to be said about a single user interface across product lines. However hopefully they figured out how to properly configure for different purposes. For example during a powerful PowerPoint presentation, the presenter is always embarrassed by Skype messages popping up like "big buns lulu is now online!", the audience gets to know last update for viruses and that there are 4 critical updates that he hasn't installed. Or you go to the self-checkout at CVS and it crashes with a familiar screen and error message. Or a kiosk windows message. Or terminals on the wall in some public place proudly proclaiming a memory error.
