I was just looking at pictures of NYC on face book. The place is flooded.

NYC or Facebook?

I was going to say there is no way the markets will be open. I'm surprised.
They may stay open only briefly. They want to record prices for Mutual Funds because it is the
last day of the month. We should get a finalized word on a Wednesday session this evening. The
problem is not with computerized trading, it is with getting personnel in place to run things. Now
that the bridges are opening (including George Washington), they feel confident they can do it.

If I say that this is a picture of my house, and all I show you is the microwave where I attempted to hard boil an egg, what would you think the rest of my house looks like? As the ad goes "parts is not parts"

Anyway, water is gong back to normal and I don't think wall street has to wait for their insurance company to know how they will pay to clean things up.

After all if I wanted to fix my fence and offered to pay someone $100, what would the difference be if my neighbor offered $10000 to fix the same damage? Throw enough money and you get it fixed yesterday!

Also, by tomorrow I doubt if trains will be running in NYC - possibly buses though.

But if I was in charge of some fat Wall Street company and the market was open but my people (especially lower paid infrastructure folks) couldn't make it in so we're missing out in zillions of bucks I'd just hire some private buses and other transportation to get the necessary people in to make the big bucks.

Note that if you liked what you read above, I am open to be hired for CEO or whatever letters at your company makes lots of zeros in salary (with leading number greater than zero). In addition I promise to keep morale high so profits are high, thank you very much in advance as I await your offers.
