Chinu, don't worry about me. I bring it on myself and am not in the least offended by what any right winger says about me and my family.

The subject which has interested me my whole life has been how the mind works. I am not really debating any of these guys, I am trying to figure out how they think. I simply am inerested in it, just like some people are interested in stamp collecting.

When I was at the U of Washington, my best friend and room mate was an anthropology professor there. He always said I should have gotten my PHD in the evolution of consciousness. UC Stana Cruz has one.

People fail to understand things for two primary reasons: 1) they simply lack the education/knowledge, and 2) they have been so indoctrinated with script, myth, fantasy or neurotic, or psychotic thinking, from an early age they cannot scrub the thought software from their thinking.

This is why I liked the book infidel so much, because the thesis of the book is her recounting how she evolved intellectually.

I like to come over here because there are usually a few interesting out of the liberal mainstream thinkers for me to ponder, unlike the much too pure liberal threads.

Sorry if I mess up the thread doing it. I know it drives epicure nuts when I do this-lol.

pcstel, you seem to be a very confused person,

Really?

with values that are way out of the mainstream.

Unfortunately, that is your poor opinion. In my opinion.

You need to understand the difference between wealth and money. Having money does not necessarily mean having money and vice versa.

LOL! Uhh! Yeah! OK, Having money does not necessarily mean having money and vice versa?

Is that a four year degree talking there?

Look, why don't you take a little break and try and gather your thoughts. Maybe come back when you can parlay your thoughts into a coherent stream.

Programmers are not computer scientists or computer technologists. Similar to lab technicians not being microbiologist or biotechnologist.

Well, my son has several friends that graduated from UCSD with a degree in Computer Science, that can't finf a job. They applied to the company my son works but can't get hired because their skill sets are not marketable. But, I guess they can call themselves "Unemployed Computer Scientists", so they got that going for them. The point about developer formus on the Internet is that knowledge is now distributed on the Internet which exceeds the availability in formal education settings. There ia a seachange in the employment arena. A four-year degree is becoming ineffective due to the pace of the change of technology.

When you can gather your thoughts, with your four-year degree, let me know.

And so it goes,
