Have to give credit where it is due. Drudge was one of the first one to aggregate news, gossip, breaking news, fake news, manufactured news in a single page. Everyone visited his site including liberals. I would even credit him as a major factor in GWB's victory in 2000 since he was the only conduit for con, sleaze and make believe the Republican side of the story with threatening breaking news along with Sirens and all leading many people to beleive things were hunky dory for conservatives and the other team in shambles. He was the only one who weilded a megaphone to sow confusion by disseminating fake news, manufactured news and blowing tenous news out of proportion. That was then. Till liberals caught on with their own blogging and started shooting down many of the falsehoods perpetuated by him and his ilk. Right now his news is relegated to RW echo chamber only. I have several options to chose from. My preference is Talking Points Memo by Josh Marshall - dare you to pick out stories that are blatant lies on that site - they out the liberal crooks or take them to task which wingers call "throwing your own under the bus". Huff Po used to be one, but no longer. It is too rich of content for me. Ezra Klein, Greg Sargent, Andrew Sullivan, Daily Kos (their gratuitous use of profane language notwithstanding)
