Not to discount other elections at all -- I cannot imagine the disaster that would have ensued had Gore become president in 2000. But had Bush been re-elected in 1992, there is little doubt the country would have prospered for the following years.

But this election is more important than most. We cannot tolerate another four years of the kind of incompetence we've seen the last four. I know you didn't think a lot of Bush, but the man was totally competent and able. Our current president is an absolute idiot and after four years, appears to have learned little.

This is not the run-of-the-mill election. In my life there has not been a presidential election that was so critical. We're talking about the difference between economic recovery and extending this depression into a 20 year or longer ordeal. I don't know when there has been so much at stake.

There is a lot at stake mainly because the Rs have gone off the track. Extremists have taken over the GOP and you all are okay about it because you want Obama out. Its not okay. And extremists have a way of becoming more radicalized and dangerous when they have some power. Fortunately, it looks like a number of the teapers elected in 2010 will be kicked out........that's a start. Then the GOP needs to catch up with the rest of us in the 21st century.
