For the same reason Obama has run ads that claim Romney would have taken the industry into bankruptcy If Romney had his way, the auto industry would have been in liquidation. Private money just wasn't available at that time. Excuse me. Yes, Obama's campaign has run some negative ads, But nothing like what Romney has done. For example, his campaign has started running those "Obama stripped the work requirement from welfare", despite that being so easy to prove as wrong. You know, when his campaign manager announced that he had no intention of letting the fact checkers run the campaign?
