It would be nice if the problems created by govt would lead us to conclude that govt power should be curtailed, and have the general population support this outcome, but that is not likely in the near term...the example of Argentina shows us that disastrous govt policies lead to more concentration of power in the govt rather than less.

Perhaps the UK could be an exception to this rule?, as the UK independence party may offer them a better choice (and they have a long history of commitment to individual rights in their culture).

Ironically, the US does not seem to have much movement towards smaller govt at this time...

disconnect between those in government and the public: People will disregard the public interest and look only to advance their own immediate cases.

This is what happens in Africa.

One day there will be check points across state borders.
You'd be asked to pay to cross bridges or do road haulage along a certain route.

People, in general, will defend their level of income according to their power. Civil servants will do better than those working for the private enterprises.

This was an overlooked piece, its very good. The Variable Time, shapes of Capital...depend upon recognizing the moment and manner by which capital flows as Initial Conditions. Sources and origins become characterized within the movements from the moment the migrations begin.

The piece rates a 0 or 1 as the CF is so low as to be near perfect characterization of these folks realities. Plunder and run.

Pressure introduced into any system has its effects....one of the first is the scatter, in this case, the pressure wave blew the recipients up as the minds anticipated what is coming and flight not fight mechanisms kicked in..

In other cases the pressure causes implosion, compaction. The subjects of that article were and are the rule makers, hence the scatter is the outlet designed into the system by its architects.
