It's a great analogy. I actually think the great hunter has an obligation to give back to his tribe. He can then expect his tribe to take care of him in his time of need. However, where I would draw the line as a great hunter or a medicine man is telling my kids that all the proceeds from his efforts are going to be owed to everyone else, because we've borrowed so much from his future that he will never have a chance to get ahead for himself.

That's what we're doing in this country. We aren't living within the means of our generation. Instead, we're stealing our kids future. I think it was Jefferson who said that "every generation is as a new nation". It was in the context of him decrying the money printing of banks and the deficit spending of the government. He, like me, didn't believe in enslaving future generations to debt to pay for the current generation's expenses. It's immoral.

So I'm all for everything that you and other Americans of our generation want the government for, but lets pay for it out of our taxes, not our kids.
