Interesting reference...

Looks like it (the Lacie) will write to blue ray disks using a Mac.

I am interested in playing back commercial Blue Ray disks with Blue ray resolution.

My understanding is that the mac display and electronics are purposely designed not to be able to do this.

In reading the reviews of this product, I could find no reference to using the drive as I describe.

Can you find something different?
