No, I didn't mean it that way. Of course, one does get a sense of intellectual satisfaction and joy in picking stocks that turn out to be long-term champions. I was talking about "fun" of the carnival type that seems to be prevalent now. So, to me, investing could be a source of great joy but I cannot treat it as fun.

And the boring part comes after you have analyzed some companies, and you have made that "what-to-buy" decision as well as the "at-what-price" decision, and you are waiting for the stock price to get there. In that sense, roaring bull markets are the most boring times to live in. Again, this is just the opposite of what the general public thinks today.
