Obama seems to be doing just fine and not going down and even if he does lose, I doubt that Epicure is terrified. Probably not even particularly panicked. Maybe not even notably nervous. The USA doesn't turn on a dime because the president changes. Presidents are normally frustrated that they can't really do much. They get to appoint the odd Supreme Court judge, get into some foreign affairs messes, have date nights via Air Force One and pose around the place, might even sign the odd veto and whatnot.

For example, it isn't really Obamacare - Congress makes it happen, not the president. He just cheers it on and passes it when they kick it upstairs. The people already wanted it pretty much or the Congress people wouldn't have been so keen. If they don't want it en masse, they'd vote accordingly.

Look at CO2. Not an issue. Americans don't care. So the candidates keep off the topic. They know better than to blab on about it when Americans think it's not a problem to worry about. Obama was full of it, but now he is not.
