Playing Hermes sure was fun today. A boatload of lessons learned, and hopefully the seven of us were fair, and will be again, tomorrow. I certainly tried to be. Surprises? Yes. I was SHOCKED by the number of people who clearly do not know how to read instructions, and were therefore disqualified because they didn't meet the three - very BASIC - spelled out criteria. When seven hands go up on those grounds, you know you really messed up. Yes, the applicants can and do sit in on this open to the public progress. The room was 9/10 filled, and everyone was paying very close attention. The seven of us, our two guides, and the audience. Riveting process, to me. And I find it to be fair, the panel to be very well qualified, informed, adding instead of subtracting. My opinion of the grant giving process has gone way up. Any complaints? Yeah, I didn't get the Pilsner Urquell or radishes I specified as my special lunch addition, but hey, I knew I was dreaming. ;-)

My dreams of playing Hermes are over. Here are my fellow panelists and our two guides, this morning before the public arrived. Made with the Nokia 808 PureView and the free Panorama app which is not supposed to work on the 808 but does. The stitching is not perfect but is amusing, to me.

Time to lift a Pilsner Urquell (and the requisite red radish) to my gal!

Not only is The Fabulous Ice Age | Indiegogo campaign now over $2k in 3 days, 27 days uphill to go, oh no, that's not enough!

Remember way back when I had to recuse myself (see the post to which I am replying) from giving her $10k for an entirely different project?

You guessed it, she got the $10k anyway!
