Sure it does. But always for a reason. Sea level has risen about half a foot since 1900. By the mid-1970s, the consensus among oceanographers was due to thermal expansion of the oceans. Animals and plants are shifting their historical ranges northward.

Everything points to things getting warmer. So, something has changed. What could that be? Well, the solar constant has increased a small amount. No model has shown that accounts for all of the warming, though. Now atmospheric CO2 has more than doubled since the Industrial Revolution. Oddly enough, The Little Ice Age ended after the the Industrial Revolution picked up, urr, steam...

Can't say if it was related or not.

Fun factoid. Did you know that the majority of climate change deniers are Americans and adhere to one political party? A party that is becoming more and more anti-science. With a marked propensity for just making shit up.
