Mark Zandi answered a question about his expectations for the report, and he may have known and seen the data. He said the UR may tick up a tenth or two, but he doesn't expect over 8.0%. Jobs gained about in line with the recent average, 125,000 to 150,000. He sold economy.com to Moody's (4-5 years ago) for about $10 million, and his area became Moody's economy.com and then Moody's Analytics. He is an example of what I wrote to Koan about yesterday, about education.
