Siliconinvestor Gods, forgive me for posting most of this earlier today on another thread, but it belongs here on the GPD thread as well!

GPD is my only Yukon holding and a no brainer (or as my largest holding this may prove to be correct). Simply, what kind of a company w/ a $50m market cap is able to get a $35m loan? For the life of me I don't understand why the market has discounted the possibility of success so much.

GPD actually has the audacity to suggest that they will be able to repay the $35m loan plus interest and with the last payment due Dec 31 16 out of cash flow and without having to raise any money. I believe that as far as I can throw Bill Sheriff but I suggest that barring a very bad surprise, any capital raise will be at 3 times today's .335 cents per share.

They are getting $800k per year from 1% Bald Mountain (Barrick) royalties today. With the Bald Mtn expansion described by Barrick (link on the GPD site) they hope and expect that one of the first beneficiaries will be their Bald Mtn areas that will yield a 4% gross royalty (payable to GPD on the gross sales price, production oz x $1720 x 4%, with no smeltering and related costs!).

The pig at the trough will be Midway gold and their Pan deposit, plus their larger Gold Rock project. This will be the big kahuna for GPD with all production from Midway qualifying GPD to earn 4% gross. The Pan is still open to the east and right down the middle. They stopped drilling to move to Gold Rock - and Gold Rock is still open in all directions.

From the Midway site:

Midway's Goal:
  • Develop a production profile of 180,000-200,000 oz/year within 5 years
  • Pan Project into production by 2014
  • Leverage Pan development and permitting experience to Gold Rock
  • Gold Rock Project into production by 2016
  • Expand known resources by drilling from cash flow

Now take those oz, multiply by 4% and that by the POG and stick it on the GPD revenue line and bottom line. Then reduce cash and reduce the loan balance. GPD's Brewery Creek will commence production in 2014 and I expect that NR's showing the commencement of the work in 2013 will help to show Yukon gold production is actually possible.

From the first link you will see a recent GPD presentation, and the Midway one is available there as well.
