>> because of the great economic reports that came out in the past two days.

Economic reports backed by QE3 and Obama's $5+ trillion dollars of deficit spending. Any discussion of balanced federal budgets starting real soon will lead to howls of Austerity and cries of 1937 by the faithful.

I have read reports that Obama has raised 1 billion dollars for this election. Perhaps. But he did borrow and spend $5 trillion to get your support.

Obama can cement the future of the Democratic party by promising $trillion annual deficits as a plank of the Democratic party. These deficits are working so well, why stop? Just institutionalize them.

yes, I have seen that some encouraging numbers are coming out. It is counter to my thesis. If this continues, then my thesis will be proven wrong.

BTW, I've already voted and I did vote for Romney. If he loses, I won't be terribly disappointed. With Obama, I still get a lot of what I want. I get socially liberal policies, a decent foreign policy, and an environmentally and renewable energy friendly President. So those are all great things.

The biggest downside will be the forever currency debasement, which will have massive consequences for all of. The silver, or should I say gold, lining is that with an Obama win, it will make my investment decisions a lot easier to discern. Obama is a known quantity and so is Bernanke. They will engage in massive deficit spending and money printing. So foreign stocks and bonds purchased in foreign currency, gold, real estate, and hard assets will be the things to buy to hedge against a currency collapse or at the minimum 70s style inflation.

Anyway, don't worry about my vote. As I told someone else, my family cancels out my vote. Bunch of Democrats in my house. LOL.
