Security researcher labels nearly 300,000 Google Play Android apps as ‘high-risk’
That's fantastic, coming on the heels of the news that Google Play has reached parity in number of apps with the Apple App Store.

Google can now put up some new ads:

Google Play: Now with 700,000 apps, just like Apple. And more than 400,000 of ours won't harm your phone or tablet!

The article also surveyed 138 IT employees about practices within their companies, and found "84 percent feel Apple iOS is "more secure" than Android and 93 percent of respondents allow iOS to access their network. Only 77 percent allow Android devices, and in something of a surprise, 13 percent say they allow rooted Android or "jailbroken" iPhone devices onto their networks.
