Why is it hard for you to believe that a politician who spends more time in Washington than in SF would be booed?
So let me get this straight... pelosi gets some boos from the crowd in a parade (in which visuals show people cheering), but wins her seat with "absurd" margins, so absurd in fact that she increases her margins in an election in which dems lose 65 seats...and you conclusions?

  • She is not necessarily liked by the "vast majority of her constituency"
  • A trained monkey could win there
  • Her margins are due to opposition apathy and resignation

Your deductive skills are perplexing...by your rationale Alabama has the potential of being a swing state.

"a district that is +35 D will vote for a trained monkey if it had a (D) label on it."

Actually, nationally (R)'s do that, as they proved TWICE with Bush, who WAS a trained monkey, and now with Romney, a man they don't even like.
