Thanx John for the addition. Like me, you have stated what is current law ("Fiscal Cliff") and did not
speculate what congress might do, who would be president or what their actions might be. That made
it non-political as far as I am concerned. By knowing the tax ramifications, those on this thread can
better judge whether it has led to increased selling of AAPL and whether THEY (in fact) should sell.

Taxes are definitely a worry. It doesn't necessarily make sense to sell in October though. That's a bit of a mystery.

I think its part of a cumulative effect, dumb rumors/fud, changes of executives, misconceptions, last years chart.

In fact no one knows what is going to happen with taxes. I suspect they will find a way to keep them at current levels.
