tonto, No. In mining there are pluses and minuses to automation. Does your equipment use GPS in your business? I understand from some farmers that they can turn a switch and the GPS takes over except in cloudy or adverse conditions. I believe the same is true on big equipment. And, now, google is working on a driverless car. What's next in automation? Interesting. How many individuals without those skills and other automation skills will be displaced? If retraining is essential there will be a tremendous cost to train and/or retrain workers. Then, we have the age factor to deal with in hiring or rehiring the displaced workers.
