How You Know You're Going to Lose

Matthew Dowd told ABC News that every time "you feel a losing campaign, these three things happen":

"The first thing happens is, don't believe -- the public polls are wrong. That's the first sign of a campaign that's about to lose. The second thing, we're going to change the nature of the electorate, and you're not seeing it reflected in the polls. And the third thing is, the only poll that counts is Election Day. When you hear those things, you know you're about to lose."

Hopefully the super-PAC lesson in hindsight is that they are a bad investment for billionaires looking to influence election outcomes.

Imagine this cycle if the Reps don't win back the Senate and White House and barely hold their ground or worse in the House? What was the friggin' point of all the ad money then?

Looking forward to hearing that debate. It could get ugly.

Oddly, just recently, we have seen some Romney ads on TV. In California? Really? There's no hope of a win here. I'm glad their spending money in our state though :-)
