I never checked the validity of Fred's source, but it somehow didn't matter at the time of his first posting... I do remember when he first posted that article a couple of years ago and the point of that article was so cogent and relevant that it stayed with me ever since... GZ

The post itself was elegantly written and the author should receive due credit for his work. Thanks for taking the time to track it down. I might mention several of his articles are certainly worth the time to read including "America's last election". elliswashingtonreport.com Fact checking reliable sources for media content. When I first signed up on SI in what seems a century ago I wrote this quote on my profile page, " Don't believe nothing you hear and only half you read". Today more than ever that seems to hold true. As of Sept. of this year I went one step further by having my cable disconnected and all newspaper subscriptions terminated. We are also "I phone" free in this household. Only thing we can do with our cell phones is make a call. This has turned out to be a blessing for my entire family and quality of life. Today no one in my house wants to watch TV as they are too busy reading, playing and enjoying life. A bold decision that I highly recommend for any household.
