One most important point has not been stressed in the discussion of the disatrous devaluations in the Far East. It is a fact that those few individuals who had their assets mainly in gold bullion or coins lost nothing. Since their gold is priced in dollars they suffered no loss. Can the same be said for funds held in local stocks, currency, or real estate? It won't take long for the the average citizen to realize where his monetary interests lie. This is the main reason for the intensive worldwide political and central bank attack on gold, to forestall the public awareness of it's real value. They are bound to fail, the only question is when.
