I agree. If and when money is being made here, bigger players, with deeper pockets, will move in.

Another point: Although Yahoo has a number of partnering agreements, I wonder how many of those are both exclusive and non-cancellable. My bet is that all of them are non-exclusive and cancellable (probably with some restrictions) by either party.

Given that, the Internet real estate supposedly being staked out by Yahoo sits on top of a virtual swamp.

There is enough of an internet market for all of the major players. Yahoo! got there first and will continue to lead with new and innovative applications. I don't visit Microsoft's web page myself because it takes a long time to load onto my notebook computer. All of Yahoo!'s web pages load quickly, and have concise information. I can see myself experimenting with some of Microsoft's new tools, but when I need data in a hurry (usually always) I choose Yahoo! first.
