I suspect you are right. The truth is that only Ron Paul had the stomach to do what was necessary with the Fed and Bernanke. Romney likely said he'd get rid of Bernanke only to get the Ron Paul supporters like me on board. But as I said before, at least with Romney there was a chance to get rid of Bernanke. With Obama there's a zero percent chance of getting rid of him. So I played the probabilities.
