GTE Standardizes on FastComm Frame Relay Access Products

FastComm FRADs and WEB.router(TM) Products Are Approved for Access To GTE Frame Relay Services and Will Be Sold and Supported by GTE

IRVING, Texas/STERLING, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1997-- In a move to empower Network and IT Managers needing to improve corporate communications and deploy real-world, multi-application Intranets, GTE Network Services, a unit of GTE Corp., has standardized on the Frame Relay Access Devices (FRADs) made by FastComm Communications Corp., the Companies announced today. FastComm's EtherFRAD(TM), MonoFRAD(TM), RingFRAD(TM), VoiceFRAD(TM), and WEB.router(TM) network access products for voice and data are now approved in all GTE service territories for attachment of customer premises equipment to GTE's cost effective, reliable Frame Relay services. GTE serves as prime contractor and full service network integrator for many large business customers.
