RE: Look for the Labor Dept to run wild, as will the EPA.

Yes, that is my concern. I can probably live out my remaining years in our socialist utopia that has been created, but I sure can't do it without electricity.

And the Eric Holder Department of Injustice will screw up the Second Amendment. I'm glad I have what I need already.

The EPA will sink our area, designated as an Urban Growth Area, which means it has to meet certain polution standards developed by people who know nothing about the regulations they are foisting off on us, nor the unintended consequences of same.

We can't burn pine cones and pine needles, but up until this fall we've been able to pay $10 a load on designated chipper days and have them hauled to an electric generation plant and burned as hog fuel. Now there is no market for that because solar and wind generation takes precedence.

So we will get the same amount of pollution, but it will be from unmanaged wild-fires that develop after the fuel loading gets past the point of no return.

We can kiss any thought of energy independence goodbye. Forget about fracking. The EPA will be sure to put an end to it. No new refineries to be constructed and no new coal fired power plants. We can all shiver in the dark like they are doing in Far Rockaway and Staten Island.
