Email from a close career SF friend

I know you belong to a lot of Mil lists and get a lot of hot headed Emails from retired Military. I hope the rhetoric I read on the ones you post is just that and not calls to action. This country is nowhere near a military revolt condition.

This generally reflects my feelings as well, and much more eloquently than I could ever put it. I'm having trouble sleeping tonight and fail to understand how things turned out the way they did given the clear choices that were in front of "the people". Romney may not have been the perfect candidate, but clearly has the credentials to lead us in the right direction as apposed to 4 more years of "Obama care". Thats what this election was all about IMO. As a CA central valley resident, I'm completely baffled by the propsitions passed by the CA electorate - raise taxes and drive more business out of CA? Defeating a motion to prohibit unions from deducting wages to contibute to politcal funds? At least they haven't (yet - votes not all tallyed) voted to let Manson, et al, out!

My dad died this spring from lung cancer (even though he wasn't a smoker) and one of the last things he said to me was that he regretted the world his generation was leaving us....I flippantly responded that he couldn't leave until it was fixed then and his response was, of course, "that's going to be a problem".

My question "dear Abby" is can we survive 4 more years of Obama care and then hope for a future, or should I just move to Canada, accept socialism, and not worry about voting for the future?
