A real BIGGIE! If Obama gets a SC appointment in the next four years it goes 5/4 his way. The Senate won't stop him.

Perhaps some of the old geezers can hold out 2 more years for the midterms - seems like a lot of dems up for reelection - 2114 as someone posted earlier. Also some of those leaving are already liberal so those wouldn't change the balance...

Probably the biggest casualty of this election - and there are many. The Supreme Court is going to shift to not just a liberal court (which might not be too bad) to a radical progressive court if Bronco gets a chance, which will be devastating.

There are many people who consider themselves fiscally conservative but also social liberal. As in a lot of cases, I consider myself fiscally conservative but socially liberal or a Libertarian - but never a Progressive or Socialist.

How many kids - never mind their parents - know the difference?

Imagine what that court will do to this country - in addition to what Bronco is already going to do.

No, Obama will get 2-4 appointments.

If? Is there any question that Ruth Bader Ginsberg has plans to retire in the next 4 years? I would not be surprised if she announces her resignation after this term. That will give Bronco room to nominate his choice without the risks posed by the 2014 Senate elections.

Can you say "Mr. Justice Holder?"

Yes, he'd replace a lib, but I don't doubt Bronco will get another pick in the next 4 years. I pray for the health of Justices Thomas, Alito, and Scalia.
