Down with the Anglos" even though the Anglos had kindly provided a lovely education to the leaders [as they did for Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin and any number of other barbarian dictators], not to mention capital, technology and markets. So the British went out and the Japanese came in, which some people in China found was not quite as pleasant as the British Empire. But, saved by the USA, they opted for Mao's Maelstrom and they found out how pleasant Japan's Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere was by comparison.
